The perfect pairing of craft beer and artisan pizza

The perfect pairing of craft beer and artisan pizza

We’ve been brewing in the shadow of the Ochil Hills in Clackmannanshire since 1983, making craft beer in Scotland long before it became a popular trend. Our beers are made with the soft local water and the majority of our barley is grown within eight miles of the brewery. We’re committed to using the same local ingredients: the same yeast as we always have. We insist on using the very best ingredients in our imaginative recipes which are always crafted without compromise.  It felt only natural that when we launched a food pairings campaign, it should be with a local trader who shares our value of using only the finest ingredients.

Introducing Harviestoun Brewery x fra. pizza

It’s not all about the pizza and the beer. Award winning though it may be… It’s about the experience: who you enjoy it with; and how it makes you feel.

For one night only, on 25.11.22 - the last Friday of this month - those local to the Ochils can collect an artisan pizza from our Brewery in Alva.

We’ll have the whole Harviestoun range on offer, so you can sample a beer whilst you wait (alcohol free for the drivers!). Save 20% on all products, so you can pick up your Friday night carry out that’s guaranteed to pair perfectly with the pizza.

A note from fra. pizza

“Our passion for all things food contributed us to stumbling across the art of pizza. And, with the love for good food comes the 'artisan-style' and experimental approach we adopt.

It's been a process, from starting out in our household kitchen to transforming our garage into a fully functional pizza kitchen. But now, we are ready to hit the road, from festivals, events and private functions, it's all go.

We’re delighted to be working with Harviestoun Brewery on our first major brand collaboration. We’re fans of the beer ourselves and the classic taste of Harviestoun pairs perfectly with our innovative approach.”

Some pairing inspirations

The Classics

Bitter & Twisted and Schiehallion

They’re regarded by many as the best Harvie beers. They’re definitely the most widely known. You can’t go wrong with these Harvie classics!

Made to enjoy with dinner

The Ridge

The Ridge is an intensely hopped yet refined Pale Ale with a grassy aroma from the Apollo hop and a clean, spicy finish. A great beer to enjoy with dinner.

Alcohol free

For anyone staying sober

Staying sober but fancy a beverage that tastes like a real ale with your dinner? Look no further than Wheest, our alcohol free beer that actually tastes like a dark ale.

Something for after dinner

Ola Dubh

Ola Dubh, meaning ‘Black Oil’ in Gaelic, is craftily created by taking our Old Engine Oil and maturing it in Highland Park whisky casks. During this time the flavours from the wood enter the beer to produce Ola Dubh. It’s one of a kind.

Whatever your pizza and beer preference - it's a night of perfect flavour combinations not to be missed! You can pre order your pizza here from 18/11/22 and collection slots will be available from 5pm on 25/11/22.
