Reviews and awards

Bottle. Almost black. Tan head which dissipates to a thin effervescing layer. Wispy lacing. Tingling aroma of molasses, prune juice and lightly charred brown bread. The peaty flavour opens alongside heavily roasted malt, liquorice and hints of dark chocolate. Silky smooth on the palate finishing with a medium bitter notes. Viscous. Wonderful and no hint of the ABV.

Wonderful sipper of the darkest ale. It is not too often that a beer blocks all light from passing through its body. Very tasty dark and roasted malts, with the addition of the hops. Quite a treat.
