What to eat with me

Schiehallion pairs well with these

Lighter, fresher pizzas

Would be smashing with pizza blanco but would pair well with most vegetable and lighter meat pizzas

Milder cheddars and wensleydale
Schiehallion goes great with a variety of other milder cheeses such as creamy goats cheeses, Havarti, and Monterey Jack
Chicken, salmon and lighter meats
Great with lighter food: chicken, salads, salmon, tuna but will hold its own where other lagers would fail
Fruity desserts
Light desserts: lemon shortbread, fresh berries with panacotta or a fruity tarte

Reviews and awards

Pours a slightly hazy rich yellow, 1.5" head with excellent lacing and retention from a cask pour. Nose is fruity (grapefruit, apricot) with floral hop undertones. Taste follows - light ruby red grapefruit, mild bitterness, all balanced by light malts. Mouthfeel is super soft from the cask with a long, lingering slightly bitter finish. An extremely sessionable beer.

Pours a clear, dark gold with a single finger of rich, off-white head that persists. Some lacing. Plenty of carbonation visible. A pronounced hop nose for a lager, as well as the usual grains. Well above average flavour for the style. Grassy hops. Very moreish malt base. Excellent mouthfeel. Dry, rich. Good level of bitterness. Some sweetness. Coats the tongue. Carbonation is present without being fizzy. If this was available in a pub or restaurant I'd drink it very happily
