Our Master Brewer Stuart set out a task for our brewers to create an IPA that didn’t use the heavily sought-after hop varieties such as Citra, Simcoe and Cascade but it was still to have a strong citrus aroma that the IPA style is known for.
The team took to this task with great passion and used their knowledge to test out different hops to achieve a crisp, fruity and juicy session IPA. They used Centennial hops (which inspired the beer name) for aroma to give light floral notes with some citrus and also Eureka hops to add a tropical fruit juiciness. For bitterness they chose Magnum and Waimea hops which gives a crisp, clean bitterness and a pleasing lasting finish.
A heavenly flair, indeed!
